In September 2026, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Stage IIIC triple-negative breast cancer.
Since then, life has become a whirlwind of appointments, scans, procedures, and chemotherapy. I'm currently undergoing an intensive treatment plan that includes months of chemotherapy followed by a bilateral mastectomy. It's a long road, and while my scans showed no evidence of distant metastatic disease, there is still a lot of fighting ahead.
As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, I've spent my career caring for others, supporting women through some of the biggest moments of their lives. It's a strange and humbling experience to suddenly find myself on the other side of healthcare, navigating cancer treatment as a patient.
I'm determined to keep living my life, finding joy in the little things, and holding onto the parts of myself that cancer doesn't get to take away. There will be hard days, but I'm still me: a little stubborn, a little sarcastic, and wildly resilient.
That's where Fight Like Ashley comes in.
I'm creating this collection of shirts and sweatshirts as a way to bring people together, spread a little awareness about breast cancer, and help offset the financial burden of treatment. Cancer is expensive, and the costs of treatment and everything that comes along with it add up quickly.
Every purchase directly helps me with the financial costs of this journey. Whether you buy a shirt, wear it proudly, or share the fundraiser with someone else, please know how much that support means to me.
Thank you for being part of Team Ashley. Thank you for showing up, cheering me on, and reminding me that I don't have to do this alone.
Cancer picked the wrong girl. And I'm going to fight like hell. ?
