Artist Statement:
Hi I?m Kyra, and I am from the Cayuga nation of Haudenosaunee Indians. I have always loved reading especially books that I can relate to, such as Y/A fiction, or POC novels. This art piece is called Thunderbird, which is believed by many indigenous people to be a symbol of power and protection.
