ALBERT COSTANZO creates detailed renderings of outer space, trains, tubes, and the occasional satellite dish inspired by a wild imagination and his 35-year career at the Pentagon. Dynamic cityscapes tucked inside botanical pods sustain micro-humans and ecosystems few of us know about. Born in 1959, Albert is a self-taught artist who lives and grows things on his farm in Orange, VA.
I have a wild imagination. I like to put my imagination on paper. When i was a kid, I used to take my dad?s work old papers ? he put them in the trash and I pulled them all out and drew on them. On the back of the papers, that?s my dad?s typing. My dad passed away. I miss my dad a lot. He was a Colonel at the Pentagon. I?m interested in how clouds are made and their changing shape. I watch the sky everyday.
